This section of the web site is for blogs by Pontydsgyu researchers, associates and friends. We are keen to promote an interchange between people in different countries and cultures. One disappointing thing about initiatives like the edublog awards is that nearly always the winners are from English speaking countries and are seldom in any language other than English.

We are particularly keen to promote blogs around education and technology enhanced learning in other languages than English on this site and are happy that we have bloggers from five countries, writing in three languages.

    The ECER 2010 Conference

    ECER 2010 Helsinki Poster

    ECER 2010, “Education and Cultural Change”, takes place in Helsinki, 23 – 27 August.

    Cultural change has emerged as an important issue in most European countries due to increased migration. With regard to education in Europe, culture is often perceived as referring mostly to ethnicity, religion and language, though cultural diversity also refers to race, gender, class, age, ability and sexual orientation.
